Coffee Talk Series: Sensory Issues in Children at Clonlara School in Ann Arbor

ABA: What is it? Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) uses the principles of behavior to teach individuals new skills, decrease challenging behavior, and improve an individual’s overall quality of life. When it comes to challenging behavior (i.e., tantrums, hitting, biting, etc), we work to identify what that behavior is communicating and work to teach the child to verbally communicate to get those needs met. This discussion will explain how we work on building new skills with behavioral techniques. Series sponsored by Clonlara School and Leaps & Bounds Therapy Services
