Fashion and Tea at the Grand Rapids Public Museum

Tour the Streets of Old Grand Rapids to set the scene for a presentation of fashion from the Victorian Era. Bring your friends for an afternoon of refreshing tea, sweet treats, and fashion! The program begins promptly at 2:30 pm with a twenty minute tour of Streets of Old Grand Rapids. This will set the stage for a step back in time. Following the tour visitors will be led to the Overlook Room on the third floor. Here visitors will get an up-close look at authentic fashion from the Civil War era to early 20th Century. These items are from our education collection and attendees will have the opportunity to inspect the workmanship of the seamstress who made them. Tea and sweet treats will be served as attendees enjoy this visual feast! Tickets are $15 for the general public and $13 for members. Purchase online at, by phone (616-456-3977), or visit the Museum's front desk.
